Question: What does College Promoters do for high school athletes?

Answer: We provide professional promotion, exposure, and personal one-on-one guidance for every athlete enrolled. This includes e-mails (including profiles and streaming video) and/or direct mails to every college and university that the student-athlete is academically and athletically qualified for, phone conversations and follow-ups with college coaches and recruiting coordinators, national and international exposure on College Promoters website (www.cpotx.com), as well as updates to the student-athlete's profile and online video throughout the recruiting process.

We are locally owned and operated, are in our 14th year of business, and have represented over 1750 athletes to date. Our students and their parents never need an appointment to stop by our office at 11950 Starcrest Drive, across the street from Blossom Athletic Center.

Question: Do you have video editing services available?

Answer: Yes. Our in-house video shop is available to all of our enrollees, as well as to area athletes not enrolled in College Promoters.

Streaming internet videos with updates are included in our Career Enrollment Packages.

Question: How many athletes do you select each year?

Answer: We select a limited group of quality student-athletes each school year. They are chosen by academic status, athletic success, leadership qualities, and their desire to go to the next level. Every interested student-athlete who contacts us or fills out the questionnaire on our website is guaranteed a free academic and athletic evaluation in our office at 11950 Starcrest Drive.

Question: What is the fee for your professional representation?

Answer: Our one time fee includes our services throughout the student-athlete's entire high school career. The Gold and Silver packages, starting as low as $1,295.00, include our ongoing promotion and exposure of your athlete to the college coaches via direct mail, telephone, e-mail, and website, including online streaming video. Most importantly, our packages include one-on-one guidance for all of our athletes and their families here in our local San Antonio office.

Question: Have you helped any other athletes from our high school?

Answer: We have represented over 1,750 athletes as of this summer, attending high schools throughout Texas and other states, dating back to the Class of 1997. Feel free to go to "Current Athletes" or "Past Enrollees" to see the athletes from your high school and others who have already benefited from enrolling in College Promoters in years past.

Question: What is your success ratio in previous years?

Answer: Every enrollee in CPOTX who has followed our guidance and adhered to the program guidelines has received a minimum of 3 discounted offers from different colleges or universities before their high school graduation.

Question: How do I register for the SAT and/or the Clearinghouse?

Answer: Simply log on to our website at www.cpotx.com, go to the dropdown menu under "HS Athletes" and click on College Links. We have attached the links you need to register for the SAT, ACT, and  the NCAA Eligibility Center, plus a link to every 4-year college and university in the United States for your convenience.

Question: My son/daughter is only a sophomore. Are we too early for enrollment?

Answer: Your sophomore and junior years are the most important years in high school for your academic and athletic accomplishments. College coaches assemble the athletes they want to follow in their freshman and sophomore years and start making offers by their junior year. The longer you wait to get started, the more likely it becomes that you will miss out on many potential opportunities that will have already been offered to other student-athletes that the college decision makers have been watching.

Question: What can you do for us that our high school coach can't do?

Answer: While most high school coaches would love to help their athletes garner scholarship offers, the fact is they simply do not have the time or the resources to do so. The best way for you to compare your H.S. coach's ability to promote your child vs. College Promoters professional and personal rapport with coaches across the country, is to ask him "How many seniors did you find scholarships for in last year's graduating class here at ABC H.S.?" Then give Mr. Smith a call at his San Antonio CPOTX office and ask him the same question.

Question: How many sub-5A athletes do you select each year?

Answer: We make a strong effort to build each senior class out of one half 5A male/female athletes and the other half an equal number of male/female students from sub-5A schools. Mr. Smith has intentionally attempted to select his classes this way for the past 13 years because he learned quickly about his area of responsibility; that if he doesn't help the rural sub-5A athletes of south Texas, who's going to?

Question: I am already getting questionnaires from colleges, so why do I need to enroll with CPOTX?

Answer: Simply put, until a college coach sees you play, either in person or by watching your video, and starts communicating with you via e-mail and ultimately a personal phone call, you are NOT being considered as a serious recruit. Tens of thousands of high school athletes from all 50 states are mailed questionnaires each year, only to be disappointed because they never receive an offer from any college.

Question: Where is your office located?

Answer: Our office is located just north of the San Antonio Int'l Airport, directly across the street from the Blossom Athletic Center, at 11950 Starcrest Drive. The best access is either from 281 & Bitters or off I-35 & Wurzbach Pkwy. The office has very visible road signage.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOUR FAMILY!
